Background • As the only child of a well-to-do lawyer and his home-maker wife, Jasey has always been a little spoiled. Her parents have always given her what she wants, but they've also always been pretty excessively over-protective. They expect her to become the sort of person her mom was when she was younger; pretty, popular, homecoming queen. Jasey, though, is nothing like that. She hates labels and expectations. She taught herself how to play guitar when she was eleven, and has been writing music ever since. Sophomore year in high school, she and a few of her friends (all guys, of course) got together and formed a garage band. They're starting to get out of the garage phase now, landing a few gigs here and there, but Jasey has to sneak out to all of them; her parents don't consider the music scene to be entirely wholesome. She's counting the days until she turns eighteen and can move out. She's sincerely hoping to convince Tara Dean, her best friend, to get an apartment with her.
