Background •
For a while, everything seemed perfect in Juniper's life. Her highschool sweetheart, Brandon Adams, had surprised her at her last class of her senior year at college with a ring and a promise to love her forever. They were engaged, and her family adored him almost as much as she did. She just got a job at the hospital as a doctor, which was a huge deal for the recent grad. Everything seemed to be moving smoothly.
Of course, that's when everything went south. Maybe it was because of the hospital job, as she was there more often than she was home, but Brandon started to seem a bit distant, going out with friends more often, even on her nights off. It seemed that everything caused fights between them and only drove them further apart, but Juniper, ever the people-pleaser and blinded by love, simply tried harder to be the perfect partner.
That is, until she came home early from work to clothes strewn about the living room floor. She ventured on into the bedroom, where she caught her fiance mid-love making. The engagement was broken after seven whole years together, and Juniper moved back into her parents' house, bruised and broken.
Two years later, Juniper's life is starting to get back on track. She moved out of her parents' house and into a small one of her own, which her parents helped pay for. She's trying to put herself out there more, but life seems to have other plans. Every date she goes on is a disaster, even if she's being set up by friends. She's like the Grim Reaper toward her favorite patients, and people are starting to notice. Maybe she's just trying too hard? But nothing seems to be working, and the more failure and tragedy she encounters, the further she withdraws into herself.
